ECSB secures RM30 mil deal for network infrastructure

Main Market debutant, ECS ICT Bhd (ECSB), has secured a RM30 million network project from YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (YTL Com).

The project was secured via its unit, ECS Pericomp Sdn Bhd, which has teamed up with global networking giant Cisco Systems Inc, to supply the network infrastructure for YTL Com’s 4G WiMAX broadband service rollout nationwide.

It was reported that YTL Com is planning to rollout the service in July.

“The RM30 million network project is ECSB’s single largest enterprise systems contract for this year,” its Managing Director Foo Sen Chin told a press conference after the listing ceremony, here Thursday.

YTL Wimax selects Connectiva Systems for revenue assurance

Connectiva Systems, Inc., a leading provider of revenue and risk management solutions, today announced that it has been selected by YTL Communications Sdn Bhd, the communications arm of the Malaysian based conglomerate, YTL Corporation Berhad, to implement Connectiva AFFIRM and manage its revenue assurance processes.

Built on an open standard based analytics framework, Connectiva AFFIRM will enable YTL Communications to identify, correct and prevent leakage across its entire revenue chain including its BSS and OSS components. YTL Communications is currently deploying the world’s first nationwide 4G network, having been awarded a license for a WiMAX 2.3 GHz wireless broadband access spectrum by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). In addition, Connectiva will provide re-rating and re-billing services to support this network.
